HISTORY

Founded in the year 2001, the Youth Empowerment Synergy (YES-Ghana) brings together innovative and energetic young professionals who work with relevant stakeholders to lay the foundation for the promotion of a sustainable and productive future for the youth in Ghana. Undoubtedly, the organisation has become Ghana’s foremost and most extensive youth organisation. It operates as a non-governmental organisation incorporated according to the laws of Ghana. The Board of Directors are the highest decision-making authority regarding all aspects of YES-Ghana, including policy direction, vision and strategy. The Management Team, comprising an Executive Director, Head of Programmes, and Head of Finance and Administration, lead the daily running of YES-Ghana based on the direction of the Board of Directors. Staff members perform tasks assigned by the Management Team in pursuance of achieving set objectives. YES-Ghana is a partner under the Youth Engagement in Service Delivery Program.

The vision of YES-Ghana is to become a world class centre of excellence in youth development policy, practice and research.

MISSION

The mission of YES-Ghana is to promote policies and develop initiatives that help youth succeed in becoming life-long learners, productive members of society, materially sufficient, and self-respecting citizens.
